Synthetic analogue of the immunomodulatory peptide tuftsin, developed at the Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Selank is a heptapeptide (Thr-Lys-Pro-Arg-Pro-Gly-Pro) investigated for anxiolytic and nootropic properties in research models. The additional Gly-Pro sequence confers resistance to enzymatic degradation, extending biological half-life compared to native tuftsin.
